It's been proven that routine, although difficult, is actually great for helping people with depression. Our bodies function better when they keep to a regular schedule and healthy routines are key elements to recovery and healing. Although video games cannot replace a healthy routine of sleeping, eating and exercise - video games that emulate simple routine and encourage patience could actually reduce stress levels. Today, I thought I'd share with you 5 video games with routine/reward mechanics that I believe benefited my mental health positively.
